Most applications and services use your location data in some form if you seek up public transportation instructions or search for restaurant recommendations and things to do.

If you have an iPhone, you may examine a list of recent locations that have been registered using location services. Location Services is a feature that allows Apple and third-party apps to collect your location data in order to provide you with the above-mentioned guidance and suggestions.

Apple can detect the approximate position of your iPhone using GPS and Bluetooth signals, as well as crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspots and cell tower locations.

Significant Locations is a list of your monitored locations that is end-to-end encrypted so Apple cannot read it. It’s also opt-in, and the list may be turned off in the app’s Settings tab.

Tap the Settings icon on your iPhone’s home screen to access the Settings menu.

Select “Location Services” from the drop-down menu.

Select “System Services” at the bottom of the list of apps that use location services.

You’ll see a list of sites you’ve recently visited after verifying with your password or Face ID.

Some iPhone users have reported in recent years that this function has difficulty loading and displaying full location history. Since iOS 13, Apple has not replied to Insider’s request for comment on the feature’s changes.

Tap on one of the locations to get a map of recently visited locations.

To remove all of your location history, return to the Important Places list, scroll to the bottom, and hit Clear History.

Toggle the slider at the top of the Significant Locations list to turn off Significant Locations.
